The Roadster is the more upright, performance-oriented Rocket III, built around the 2.3-litre triple that was the largest-capacity production motorcycle engine of its time. Compared with the Touring it has a 17 in front wheel and a very wide 250-section rear tyre, with ABS fitted as standard. It also makes noticeably more power and torque than the Touring, and handles more agilely than its size suggests.
